Looking a little longer
metHitomi grew out of my long-standing passion for art and creating. After putting it aside for a long time, I realised how important it is to let go of who you think you should become and allow your heart to lead the way.
Today, metHitomi is a multidisciplinary creative studio rooted in painting and shaped by curiosity. Whenever I work with a new medium, the feeling of being creative, alive, and present returns to me. Through each project, different materials help me ask the same question in different ways.
My work isn’t about finding one correct interpretation. You might notice something completely different from the person standing next to you.
A colour may remind you of home. A texture may bring back a forgotten memory. When the light changes, the piece may quietly change with it.
Those different experiences are what make a piece feel alive.
