Looking a little longer
metHitomi grew out of a long-standing love for making, experimenting, and learning through different materials.
After spending years focused on study and work, I found my way back to art — not by choosing one single medium, but by following curiosity and seeing where it leads.
Today, glass has become an important part of that journey. I’m especially drawn to the way colour, transparency and light can completely change a piece depending on where and how it is seen.
Alongside glass, I continue to paint, draw and explore new ways of making. Rather than aiming for one fixed style, I’m interested in creating work that feels personal, playful and worth looking at a little longer.
